What’s covered?

The aim of this Laser Hazard Controls Checklist is to highlight some of the hazards associated with working with laser beams so your staff are aware of the risks. It also evidences that you are routinely ensuring that the controls you have implemented from your risk assessment are in place and are working efficiently.

What’s included?

We have listed three categories of laser classification from the lower-risk Class 1 to high-risk Class 4. Questions direct you to look at specific controls relating to the equipment being used. Each question should be answered and the completed document signed by the competent member of staff who undertook the check. Completed documents form part of your health and safety management system and as such should be kept for a minimum of three years.
